Alibaba Jack Ma greets his staff and clients before APEC SME Summit 2009

If you think the photo shots in the last post are a bit off, what would you think when Jack Ma– Alibaba Group founder, chairman and CEO, Joseph Tsai– Alibaba founder and the Group’s Chief Financial officer take off their playful costume and return to smart business look?

Mr Ma spoke to his staff and clients the night before APEC SME Summit 2009 in HangZhou.

“A significant portion of the world’s consumers will rely on these small Internet entrepreneurs selling goods made only for online stores for their everyday goods and services. As a result, these ‘Netrepreneurs,’ as we call them, will play a central role in global manufacturing, job creation and social responsibility, and will also be able to better compete effectively with major corporations in terms of satisfying customers’ needs better and making superior returns as a result.” Mr Ma said.
