Boosting buyers’ inquiries

Alibaba rolls out a new feature to call for users’ attention. The new floating window, which opens up a shortcut to email and online chat, is expected to achieve two goals:

  • Maximize the usage of its IM tool – TradeManager
  • Encourage sending buyers’ inquiries through emails 

We have seen this floating window being used in many China sites very often. They are used for banner advertising.  Our recommendation is not to use it as extensively as the websites in China. They are a bit overdone.
