Taobao looks for partnership in the U.S.
China largest Consumer-to-consumer (C2C) trading platform Taobao.com is currently seeking partnership with internet big boy players with a view of launching its services in the U.S.
Alibaba.com CEO Jack Ma and 10 senior managers are currently on a trip to the US, hositng talks with Amazon , eBay and Microsoft to explore the possibility of partnership.
Meanwhile, Alibaba.com also disclosed the fact that it has plan to employ 5,000-plus IT professional and expected to double the size of U.S. staff to about 50 amid the economic downturn.
In his previous interview with Financial Times, Jack Ma reiterated that Taobao would challenge Walmart Global’s top retailing business in the next 10 years.
