Tips to be a successful supplier – Part three

Please send your donations for Sichuan Earthquake Disaster direct to the Red Cross Society or see more details in our previous post.

Following Part one and two, our part three session will focus more on “posting a product” since it’s the centerpiece of buyers’ search result anyway. We have discussed some of the product display issues in “Photo Talks”  two months ago, in which we told our users that photos play a major part in attracting eyeballs.

A clean shot for your product

Our recommendation is to keep the product images clean and clear, using the actual products when doing the product shots. Which one of the products below would you like to pick?  You probably have made up your mind while comparing the quality, clarity and settings of these two images.

Market your products with selling points

Buyers also take notice of the product descriptions, hoping to get the most out of them online before they send an inquiry to you. It’s recommended that suppliers can give an outline of your product features as much as possible. You will also find that a well-written, highly-relevant marketing copy can draw the buyers to your business like mice are drawn to a hunk of chedder cheese.

Should the product be bundled with a discount or free gift, please make sure that it’s on your feature list.

The last but not the least, suppliers can contact with buyers through custom-made IM – TradeManager and search new buying leads often in Alibaba.com.
