Social media networking for B2B2C business?
Social Media marketing within Business to Business (B2B) seems to be gaining popularity in North American businesses. Buisness.com recently released a benchmark report which showed that out of the 2,500 respondents, 69.1 percent is using webinars and podcasts as their primary social media resources, followed by ratings/reviews of business products and services.
The third most popular resource – visiting company or product profile pages on social media sites like Facebook or Twitter. Meanwhile, Google Friend Connect powers up newsletter tool for social networking to increase its influence in social media networking.
While talking to a couple of Hong Kong small medium buyers, traders and suppliers representing overseas offices, Aliuser at Alirens.com was told they are far too busy to get business information from social media to complete their tasks in their day-to-day job. Often times, they will use Google and B2B websites including Made-in-China, DHgate, Alibaba and Global Sources to find the products and suppliers for China imports and exports business.
“”I usually start from Google image search browsing product items that match closely to what I need. Should I find a product I like, I will click on the hyperlink or the photograph which take me directly to the destined B2B websites, product directory.” a buyer told Aliuser at Mega Show in October.
